#YAMAHA STUDIO MANAGER NOT DETECT BOZRRD INSTALL#
I have two options: try to hunt down the old build of Windows and attempt to install it, or try again to fix the problem. However, to my horror, I found when I returned that after 10 days this option is no longer available, Windows having deleted my old version. I didn’t have time to restore to a previous version of Windows before I left, figuring I could do so when I returned.
#YAMAHA STUDIO MANAGER NOT DETECT BOZRRD UPDATE#
Updates were forced, but I always restored to a previous version of Windows, successfully averting the loss of 5.1Ī few weeks ago I got married, and right before leaving for the honeymoon, Windows forced another update on me. So, once again I restored to a previous version of windows, and battled auto-updates for another year. Unfortunately, I found even more recent articles like this one, explaining that Windows is simply failing to support 5.1: After a year I attempted a more permanent fix, updating Windows and looking for another 5.1 audio fix. This fixed the issue, and I enjoyed 5.1 surround for another year, while vigilantly battling auto-updates from Windows. I did some google searches and found the easiest way to fix the issue would be to “reset” the pc, by using the “Go back to the previous version of Windows” option in the Restore app. I enjoyed true 5.1 surround gaming and blu-ray audio for a while, but one day a Windows update caused the 5.1 audio to stop working. Two years ago I upgraded my system to a 5.1 surround speaker setup. Is this actually a fixable problem or a known pitfall of Windows 10 with no solution? I enjoy surround sound immensely and will do anything to restore it. Now, I actually need to fix the problem or install Windows 8 instead.īelow is my long, foolish story, underneath is the fixes I’ve tried so far that haven’t worked.

TL DR: Windows 10 update caused 5.1 driver to be overwritten/lost, tried to block Windows updates for two years but update forced on me eventually, unable now to restore to previous version. If the audio is stereo (like a stereo audio file), it only comes through the front two speakers, but if a 5.1 game or Blu-Ray is played, audio comes through all 5 speakers independently. When receiver is set to “Straight” mode, 5.1 audio is received, and all speakers light up on LED display. Setup: Graphics card is plugged into receiver via HDMI – receiver gets both audio and video from graphics card. Receiver: YAMAHA RX-V385 5.1-Channel 4K Ultra HD AV Receiver To turn on the developer extensions, click " Turn on anyway".Graphics card: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 8GB See the following notification at the bottom of the window.
